Rite Aid Trip Today!

I had a blast today getting all of my deals.  After visiting three different Rite Aids I ended up with six bottles of Johnson and Johnson products (free).  I also got two bottles of Desitin.  I got two bottles of Right Guard Body wash (found bottles with a $1.00 peelie coupon making them FREE).  Lastly, I had to get four packs of Oreos (with my coupons they came to .50 cents a piece).  I spent $2.00 and am feeling great!! :)

Rite Aid 2/13

I headed to Rite Aid this morning armed with my coupons.  I got 4 boxes of Frosted Flakes at .72 cents a box (2.22 with a 1.00 UPR and I used my 1.00off/2 boxes- I had two of these coupons).  I also got two tubes of Colgate Sensitive Tooth Paste (3.50 with a 3.50 UPR and I used two 1.00 off coupons- making a 1.00 profit on each tube).   I got  two Dove deodorants (1.99 with a 1.00 UPR on each when you buy two and I used two $2/1 Dove Deodorant or Body Mist).  I also got 2 boxes of Blink Tears (on sale for 7.99 with a 4.00 UPR and I found two bottles in the very back with a 4.00 peelie coupon on them making them FREE). I made a profit of $1.12. I am beginning to build up a stockpile of goods. Where to put it all? Head over to For the Mommas to see how I did it!!!

The Easiest Dinner EVER!!! Turkey (or Chicken) Pot Pie

Tonight is an easy dinner night.  We are trying to not spend any money eating out this month (with the exception of our Valentines dinner on Sunday night).  Since we are in money saving mode, I must cook every night.  Bummer :(  So here is my easy dinner recipe.

Turkey (or Chicken) Pot Pie-
*2c cooked Turkey or Chicken- cubed (I always use leftover roasted chicken from Vons or leftover Turkey Breast
*1can Cream of Chicken soup
* 1 can mixed veggies -drained ((I like the can with potatoes inside)
* 1/2 can of milk (use as much or as little as you like)
* 1 pie crust (for the top)

Mix the Turkey (or Chicken), soup, veggies, and milk. Toss in a pie pan.  Top with the crust.  Bake at 350 until the crust is golden brown (approx. 35 min.) This feeds a family of four!!!

The End of my Albertsons Adventure!

So just a little FYI... I transferred three prescriptions and got three $25 gift cards, but it took a lot of work.  The pharmacy on Coffee and Olive is the world's slowest pharmacy!!! So, four trips to the pharmacy and $75.00 later, I am done.  I may send my hubby in the store tomorrow to get the last prescription, but I will never be back to that pharmacy.  It was worth the grocery money for the month though!!!

Albertsons Adventure!!!

So.... I got $25.00 today and found out that I can't transfer all four scripts on the same day.  I guess that I will just get to visit Albertsons for the next three days:)  I am so excited about my $25.00 gift card though.  I cannot wait until I have all four and I get my ad tomorrow.  Hopefully there are some great coupon deals in this week's ad.
FYI-  I got the $25 prescription transfer coupon in a coupon book located right at the front door(to the left).  If you are going to try this I must warn you that The Albertsons on Rosedale and Allen said that they had never heard of the coupon book.  Go to the one on Coffee and Olive.  The people there were really nice too!  They were the ones that told me that I could get this deal every day if I wanted to.

Today I will attempt to "Shop for Free"

I am going to head to the Albertsons on Rosedale Hwy. armed with four coupons for $25 gift cards for transferring prescriptions.  I will transfer four of my prescriptions in order to get $100 in gift cards.  I only pay $5.00 a prescription, so the profit should equal $80.  If I don't die of embarassment I will return to tell you how it goes!!!

Free Almonds!

Best Superbowl Snack!!! HOT Jalapeno Artichoke Dip

 1 can (14oz.) Artichoke Hearts in water- drained and chopped
1 can (4oz.) diced jalapenos- drained
1 can (4oz.) diced Ortega chili's
1c. Mayo
8oz. Parmesan cheese
8oz Cream cheese- softened

Mix all ingredients together.  Place in a 7 x 11 casserole dish.  Bake at 350 for about 35 minutes or until sides are golden brown. I always serve with wheat thins.  Super spicy and YUMMY!!!

Well, I guess that it is the best money saving book I have ever read.  I am reading this book called "How to Shop For Free: Shopping Secrets for Smart Women Who Love to Get Something For Nothing."  It is written by Kathy Spencer.  If you are into saving money I would recommend you read it.  I am getting some great ideas from this book!! :)
